On October 30th, Wichita Hamilton Middle School’s Leadership class came to Wichita West High for high school exposure of the high school JROTC program to see how intense it gets at the high school level.
A Wichita West student expressed to us that they want to bring in more cadets to build the JROTC program because West has a small JROTC community.
Anonymous Said, “This day is important because we want to be able to bring more cadets into our school, because we have so little and it also builds up our JROTC program”.
While being in JROTC it teaches you leadership skills such as listening to adults and making sure instructions are followed, doing that needs to be done and it also helps students get ready for the military if they choose to go to a branch of the military as their career.
