Market day is just getting everybody to buy into be like, hey, there’s ‘one day a semester that there’s going to be some really good food at school. You should tell your friends, come out, promote, and try to try everything that you can. I, I always see a lot of kids saying, oh, I wish I knew market day was here. So maybe just getting that bigger promotion, letting people know, hey, market days this week, you better show up with some money because there’s gonna be a lot of good food.
I’d say our market day is unique, just based on we have a lot of diverse students in our building. So you get anywhere from fried rice to, Hispanic food to for with the horchata and Tres leches expanding to barbecue chicken wings, to, we had some, interesting one the other day. We’re even doing ramen now. There’s a ramen stand like it is just so many different items, that we are coming up with. So I think that’s what makes us a little diverse. But I’d like to see some cooler meals this time around. We’ll see if we get some, better ideas for the last one.
They gain a little knowledge or just background of how to promote for it, how to figure out how much money I’m going to need for my product, how to appropriately figure out how much product I need to sell to not have too much product. There’s just a lot of factors that go into running a business on the background that kids just think, oh, I can can do my own business. But there’s a lot more to it than that that we like to bring to light in Y.E
Y.E is Youth entrepreneur and, our job is to gain knowledge about business, gain knowledge about how to work in the workforce. How to start your own business, how to acquire the licenses and the loans and the, background knowledge of what you need to actually open up a business. And, we kind of go through business plans, go through, some different businesses to see what’s available out there just for different students who want to go into business.
