As of right now, ClassLink is down but slowly returning but the things that were down this morning at 2:24 AM such as apps, websites, and gaming servers are backed up by now. You’re probably wondering “why all the stuff was down”.

The reason as to why all these things were down was because Amazon Web Services (AWS) had an operational issue that caused the things that they own to crash and cause the outage globally.

You are also probably wondering “how is ClassLink connected to Amazon?”. Amazon AWS integrates with ClassLink by giving it services that Amazon owns.

Currently, AWS is working on the problem that is affecting ClassLink and other multiple services that are used by ClassLink. You can expect the signing-in process to start slowly functioning as they work on this problem. Some places in the US-East region are experiencing the return of ClassLink.
